We live in an age of constant hustle and the pursuit of peak performance in every aspect of our lives, so much so that we often feel the need to “fuel up on caffeine” to perform at our best throughout the day. As a result, we often arrive at our workouts feeling drained or sluggish, so that an “extra boost” is very often welcome. This is how all pre-workout supplements containing stimulants (more or less legal depending on the country of origin) have become so trendy, to the point that for many, “feeling” the adrenaline rush is now more important than the product’s actual effectiveness, ingredient quality, and formulation. Rhodiola is another ingredient in the new Shurakhan; this well-known herbal extract gained recognition as an adaptogen thanks to Russian researchers, who highlighted its ability to increase the body’s resistance to specific chemical and biological agents, resulting in enhanced physical endurance and a sense of well-being. The adaptogenic properties of Rhodiola, in particular, have been attributed to two of its active ingredients: para-tyrosol and salidroside. These influence the levels of certain mediators in the brain and in peripheral, cardiovascular, and respiratory tissues, and reduce the secretion of catabolic hormones such as cortisol. Among the most pharmacologically active compounds are also rosavin and phenols. The decision to use Rhodiola in our new product is supported by scientific evidence regarding the mechanism of action of its active constituents. It has been demonstrated that rosavin, by activating the enzyme adenylate cyclase in fat cells, promotes the release of fatty acids into the bloodstream. The product contains substances classified as "hygroscopic" (such as glycerol). This means that they absorb moisture from the surrounding environment, which can cause the powder to clump together into lumps or clumps. This is perfectly normal and expected behavior for some of these ingredients and does not mean that the product is spoiled, as the formation of clumps does not affect the product’s effectiveness.
