BELT SIZE
To choose the right size karate belt, there's a formula. Take your waist measurement, multiply it by two, and add 95 cm. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one. This formula takes into account the standard, which requires the belt to extend 20-30 cm beyond the knot. For example, for a karate gi with a 73 cm waist: (73 x 2) + 95 = 241 cm. A size 2.5 karate belt is recommended.
