These tools are extremely useful for Taekwondo training: basic techniques (kicks, punches, blocks, rotations, steps, exits) are simulated with the pads to improve accuracy, strength, and speed; both single kicks and more complicated combinations and sequences can be performed.
The Taekwondo pad also allows for tactical training in pairs: one athlete holds the pad and simulates feints, advances or exits while the other athlete practices attack or counterattack and reaction techniques.
