The WKF SMAI women's karate vest is made according to the specifications of the World Karate Federation . It can be used in all international WKF events and in Italy in competitions of the FIJLKAM and the Promotion Bodies that adopt its regulations.
The SMAI WKF approved abdominal vest is designed for female karate athletes with a unique design.
The protective part wraps around the abdomen and is supported by a stretch Lycra tank top: a design that integrates perfectly with the chest protector. Wearing the chest protector along with this abdominal vest is much more comfortable for the athlete than wearing the entire WKF vest over the chest protector, which is undoubtedly bulkier and further restricts movement.
The ultra-lightweight materials (all sizes weigh less than 350 grams) still offer excellent protection. The abdominal vest is designed to be worn under the karate gi and does not hinder an athlete's full range of natural movement.
