Musashi Miyamoto's book: The Book of Five Rings
The Book of Five Rings, written by Miyamoto Musashi, is considered a classic treatise on military strategy, often compared to Sun Tzu's The Art of War. The book is also known as "The Book of Elements" or "The Book of the Five Elements," as each of the book's five chapters is named after one of the elements that, according to the author, constituted the world. The five rings are: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void. Each element represents a different aspect of strategy, and a warrior who perfectly masters the five elements is presumed to be invincible. When the first English translation was published, the book immediately met with considerable success among managers who interpreted the master's teachings from the perspective of economic competition. It is therefore considered a manual for the modern manager and a valuable advisor to consult in every circumstance.
