Essential Amino Powder 300 grams YAMAMOTO

€ 35,99

Essential AMINO Powder is a blend composedof essential amino acidsobtainedthroughplant fermentation. Essential amino acids (EAAs) are those that the human body cannot synthesize on its own in sufficient quantities to meet its needs and must therefore beobtained through the diet. It is important to remember that branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs)arealso part ofthe EAA group, and that amino acids are the organic molecules our body uses to formproteins.

What is the purpose of an essential amino acid supplement?Whendiet alone is not enough to meet your needs, or when you reduce your intake of certain foods, EAA supplements are certainly a valuable aid in providing your body with everything it needs for protein synthesis.

Essential AMINO features a 2:1:1 ratio of L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine, meaning itcontains a higher proportion of leucine: this amino acid is, in fact, essential for protein synthesis. Furthermore, the 2:1:1 ratio of these amino acids is the most common ratio found in nature. Essential AMINO also contains all 8 EAAs in an optimal ratio to maximize their bioavailability and minimize the production of nitrogenous waste.

What are the essential amino acids (EAAs) for humans?Foradults, there are 8 essential amino acids, specifically:

  • Lysine: found primarily in milk, soy, and beef, but almost entirely absent in grains, it is essential for the production of carnitine and vitamin B3. For athletes, it can help speed up post-workout recovery.

  • Tryptophan: It is found in milk and dairy products, eggs, legumes, meat, and fish. It is an important amino acid in protein synthesis and serves as the starting point for the synthesis of serotonin and niacin.

  • Phenylalanine: It is found in most animal and plant proteins, including meat, organ meats, fish, eggs, and brown rice. It plays a role in many metabolic processes, serves as a “building block” for proteins, and is involved in the production of thyroid hormones.

  • Threonine: It is found primarily in corn, soybeans, eggs, mushrooms, cod, pork, lamb, rabbit, and veal. It is one of the amino acids most commonly lacking in a vegan diet. It is a component of antibodies and therefore plays a vital role in maintaining the immune system.

  • Methionine: found in dairy products, egg whites, sesame seeds, Brazil nuts, cod, and soy protein. Methionine is essential for the production of carnitine and cysteine, as well as creatine, taurine, and vitamin B12. It acts as a chelator for certain heavy metals, and when present in sufficient quantities, it lowers the pH of urine.

  • Leucine: Milk, corn, chicken, and eggs are the primary dietary sources of this amino acid. It plays an important role in muscle function and serves as an alternative energy source during intense physical activity.

  • Isoleucine: It is found primarily in corn, potatoes, chicken, eggs, peanuts, bresaola, and lamb. It is closely linked to glucose requirements (it is, in fact, classified as a glucogenic and ketogenic amino acid), prevents the breakdown of structural proteins, and promotes recovery after prolonged physical exertion.

  • Valine: Good sources include egg white powder, soy protein, spirulina, and dairy products. It plays an important role, particularly in tissue repair.

Of these 8 EAAs, the last 3 described (Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine) are known as BCAAs (Branched-Chain Amino Acids),which are characterized by the presence of a branched side chain.

Our recommendation

Our recommendation:We recommenddividing your daily intake of amino acids (2 scoops) between pre- and post-workout, so1 scoop before your workout and 1 scoop after. This approach will support anabolic processes while counteracting muscle catabolism, promoting muscle growth while preserving stressed tissues, and effectively supporting hydration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should they be taken before or after a workout?TakingEAAs is a sound strategy for both pre- and post-workout: they are extremely beneficial in both cases. They counteract muscle catabolism following intense physical activity while simultaneously replenishing the muscles with building blocks. Our recommendation, therefore, is to split your intake between pre- and post-workout.

I take essential amino acids: should I also increase my protein intake?Mostproteins with high biological value contain a complete spectrum of essential amino acids. In situations such as low-calorie or high-protein diets, increased requirements, or even sarcopenia, EAA intake is important. Whether or not to take protein and amino acids togetherdepends on the quality(biological value)of the protein and your total daily protein intake. If you cannot ensure adequate intake of all EAAs from protein alone, supplementation is recommended. Similarly, if you are taking EAAs but not meeting your protein requirements, you can also take protein at the same time.
